Seat-hours are expensive. HENMESH Quality workbench and Phase 7 HEN-AI mesh quality (inspector, auto-repair, skew/aspect/ortho, independence advisor) exist so inverted cells, extreme skew, and broken prisms never reach HENFLOW.
What to fail early
Negative volumes, non-manifold surfaces, extreme aspect ratios in BL stacks, and orphan cells at TE junctions. Use mesh/sim readiness scores and CFD pre-check before export.
What to document
Histograms, fail counts, Mach/alpha/y+ flags, workbenchTag, and who signed the gate. Reviews ask for provenance, not vibes.
When to re-mesh vs “push through”
If gates fail on LE or TE, re-mesh. Do not hope the solver will smooth the physics.
Engineering takeaway
A green quality gate is cheaper than a red residual curve.
How HENMESH helps you act
Run diagnostics, HEN-AI repair advice, re-gate, then suite-export. Keep the report with the HENFLOW case archive.
