When to Use HFOIL, HENMESH, HENFLOW, and HENSTRUCT

A clear decision guide: aeronautical CAD vs mesh prep vs aerospace CFD vs aerospace structural FEA — and when to call custom solver services.

Hendoi TechnologiesRelated: HENSTRUCT

Hendoi’s four products stay domain-specific. Use this guide to pick the right desk tool — and when to call services.

HFOIL — aeronautical CAD

2D/3D geometry, library sections, Geometry Studio, STEP/IGES export, and geometry shortlists. Not volume CFD. Not structural FEA.

HENMESH — aerospace preprocessor

Flight-condition mesh, Phase 6 workbenches, industrial BL/HexCore/overset, Phase 7 HEN-AI, quality gates, suite export. Does not solve CFD or FEA.

HENFLOW — aerospace CFD

External/internal aero, compressible, high-lift, rotorcraft, rocket/missile, post, PDF reports, HENAI pillars. Not structural analysis.

HENSTRUCT — aerospace structural FEA

Strength, dynamics, buckling, composites, fatigue, thermo-structural, aeroelasticity/flutter/gust, margins, and V&V. Solver-only — CAD and mesh stay upstream.

Custom services

When you need owned solver IP beyond the product map, use custom engineering services.

Engineering takeaway

Chain: HFOIL (CAD) → HENMESH (prep) → HENFLOW (CFD) and/or HENSTRUCT (FEA). Skip steps only when the question truly allows it.
